Brazilian Eye Contact

Brazil is a large country and has many costumes. People are different in different regions of Brazil and have different costumes. I chose a particular costume to write about - it's the eye contact. When someone talks with another person, this person needs to look in the eye to show that this person is honest. If you serve some person you don't look directly in the eye and the eyes are the soul's door.
In Brazil, when you talk with someone you need to have eye contact to show that you are honest. If you look to another place, people think that you're lying and you don't care about what the other person is talking to you and if you look in the eye you show you're a confident and stronger person.
If you serve someone you don't look directly in the eye. If you work as a maid, waiter or in the others services considered subordinated, normally there isn't eye contact, because in Brazil there is a lot of prejudice against poor people, the most of the time these people are associate as thieves.
Eye contact is the soul's door. Many people say when you look into someone's eyes, you look inside this person. You can see this person's feeling or fear. You see the truth about this person. In Brazil, many people are superstitious and judge someone when look in someone's eyes.

Eye contact is a Brazilian custom. When someone talks with another person, this person needs to look in the eye to show that this person is honest, if you serve some person you don't look directly in the eyes and the eyes is the soul's door. When you have a conversation with a Brazilian person try to look into the person's eyes and you show you're good person.

RICE AND BEANS

An important custom from my country is eating rice and beans. You cannot come to Brazil without eating rice and beans. To eat rice and beans in a daily basis is important because in this combination there is a correct amino acid balance, it is relatively cheap and easy to do.

First, rice and beans together have a perfect amino acid balance. These ingredients together are rich in two essential amino acids for the human body. These two amino acids are scarce in other vegetables alone, but rice and beans together have enough of these amino acids.

Second, this combination is relatively cheap. Rice and beans are cultivated in all Brazil so there are always in grocery stores at a low price. Therefore, everybody can buy and eat.

Third, rice and beans are easy to do. To do rice, just put rice, oil, salt and water in a pan and cook until dry. If it’s necessary add more water. To do beans, soak the beans in water during two hours, change the water, put it in a pressure cooker, add salt, oil, season with onions, garlic, bacon, pepper… close and cook.

In conclusion, an important custom for Brazilian people is eating rice and beans every day because there is a correct amino acid balance, it’s cheap and easy to do. If you like, you can add other increments, such as a sunny side up egg on top.
